The ones we seek

White flowers clustered together on the plant.

At the beginning of my spiritual awakening, I felt very alone. So many magical and things were happening to me and around me, and I wanted to share in it with someone who could truly understand—someone who wouldn’t dismiss these experiences as coincidences or flukes.

I was working with a spiritual mentor who led me through a process of meeting my spirit guides. I asked them to help in connecting me with others who were awakening to their truths, and I was soon inundated with people wanting to talk to me about everything from crystals to synchronicities and signs to dreams and visitations.

A small circle of deep relationships grew out of that period, but what was most surprising was that these weren’t new connections. They were friendships which had formed over the years, in other ways. I’d met my friend @mizmaggieb nearly a decade earlier, when we were both working within the influencer/blogging space, but we’d lost touch over time. One day, in a virtual workshop filled with people from around the globe, Maggie happened to pop up in the chat box. We reconnected and learned that we were again sharing the same space, but this time it was about something bigger—reconnecting to the reality of our existences.

Maggie and I talk about magic, manifestation, lucid dreaming, soul connections, purpose, what others think of our journeys, plant medicine, and so much more on her podcast, We Are Magic. If you’re awakening to the gentle guidance of the universe, or if you want to understand more about the ways in which we’re all connected to magic, these episodes are dedicated to you. I hope you’ll have as much fun listening to our conversation as we had recording it.
