The exquisite process
From the summer of 2020 until the end of 2021, I went through a range of physical changes including hair loss, cystic acne, fatigue, insomnia, and drastic changes in my cycle. Many of my friends who are mothers told me that most of my symptoms sounded like things they had gone through after giving birth. I had known it was related to my grief and my awakening, but it wasn’t until the other day, when I came across a spiritual text, that I put the pieces together. The text explained that fatigue and physical changes like the ones I endured are signals of the old self dying as the new self is born.
I think, to others, I’m largely the same person I once was. But those closest to me see and accept the new person I’ve become, and I’m so grateful that the universe has brought more and more people into my life who are also waking up, remembering their magic.
If you’re exhausted, depleted, fatigued, give yourself grace. You’re in the midst of the exquisite process of becoming.
